Texas Culinary Academy is an outgrowth of a Chef apprenticeship program that was sanctioned by the American Culinary Federation in 1981. Program excellence triggered enrollment increases which eventually lead to a move to a larger facility in 1989 when the name was officially changed to Texas Culinary Academy. Programs offer a formal education in the food service industry with a curriculum that blends culinary tradition with current industry standards.
